The Lost Tomb of the Forgotten Ones

The Lost Tomb of the Forgotten Ones is a system neutral OSR adventure for low level characters. Old tombs in an abandoned graveyard hide eldritch secrets and lost treasures.

Set in an ancient forest, this is an adventure site designed for non-linear exploration. With eight entrances to the dungeon proper, and interconnecting pathways between each area, this is a bite sized adventure designed to eschew linear paths and set piece encounters in favor of player driven exploration and context informed decision making.

Each area is densely layered with engaging details and actionable items, creating a dynamic and exciting environment perfect for OSR style play.

However, dense environments do not require a dense text! The Lost Tomb is written to be run on the fly by the GM, with formatting and layout designed to help clearly isolate crucial information.

This adventure is written and designed to be broadly compatible with any OSR system (OSE, Shadowdark, Cairn). Monsters and treasure are named but the GM is expected to grab stats and details from whatever system they are using. Maps are provided for reference, but neither they nor the adventure itself were designed for precise gridded play.
